The Society for Meritorious Students operates on the following set of principles:-

• Students deserving our support are selected solely on merit, irrespective of caste, creed, color or gender.
• All the members of the society are Honorary and work voluntarily besides contributions as per their individual capacity.
• Administrative and overhead costs are borne by the members only, and are kept to the minimum.
• No donations are sought from the Government of India / State Governments.
